Can I add music to my video?
You cannot put films online that include music written by somebody else due to copyright. If you make music yourself or have written consent of the copyright holder, it’s no problem. Just be sure that your materials don’t include any music from third parties, e.g. a pop star!!!
The same is true for pictures, parts of videos, texts, charts etc. – anything that has not been created by you.
Can I include people?
If your video shows individuals who are recognizable and are neither personalities of contemporary history (e.g. famous people such as politicians, sportsmen and women, actors or people who have gained temporary fame) nor merely incidental to the subject, they have to give their written consent to the use of the material:
For this purpose, please find a downloadable declaration of consent to be filled in and signed by the persons concerned here. In the case of legal action you are obliged to make the signed declaration of consent available to vienna-podcast.at.
If you record or take a picture of a group of people where more than 10 individuals can be seen at the same time, then there is no problem.
Can I upload videos if I am under 18?
According to the child welfare regulations you are unfortunately not allowed to do so. But if you either fax a declaration of consent signed by your legal guardian (parent) to +43/1/5224028-11 or e-mail it to info@vienna-podcast.at, you can participate, too.
