David Lynch in Vienna

The famous master director David Lynch followed an invitation from Hans Hurch to the Gartenbau Cinema on the occasion of the Viennale film festival, where he revealed among other things what inspired him to do the film "Blue Velvet" and how he generally boosts his creativity with the help of Transcendental Meditation. The Gartenbau Cinema
occupies a special place among the cinemas of this city. Built in 1960, it radiates the grandeur and self-confidence of a classic first-run movie house.
